They use frozen chicken all the time, posts all say it comes out the same as if it was thawed. Increase cooking time up to 2 hours. I am looking forward to the shredding recipe....we use shredded chicken all week long for endless options!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12785734035202266409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514047866200295403.post-38050753172600094512012-09-04T08:23:26.592-04:002012-09-04T08:23:26.592-04:00I thought I'd answer the comments about doing ...I thought I'd answer the comments about doing this with frozen chicken, since I"m the one that told my dad to post about this. I have done it with frozen chicken, but my Crockpot doesn't have a ceramic insert, instead it is a metal insert. I'm not sure I'd do this with a ceramic insert, but it is fine with a metal insert.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02073988175433533915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514047866200295403.post-20899758009003720312012-07-23T09:11:25.730-04:002012-07-23T09:11:25.730-04:00Just tossed in some chicken - on low .... gunna ch...Just tossed in some chicken - on low .... gunna check at 6 hours then again at 8, ill let you guys know!JessieRibolihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00214333681920715514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514047866200295403.post-2884289014002977202012-07-23T09:10:24.370-04:002012-07-23T09:10:24.370-04:00just tossed in some chicken - on low ... gunna che...just tossed in some chicken - on low ... gunna check in 6 then 8 hours. ill let ya know!JessieRibolihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00214333681920715514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514047866200295403.post-81720187708216427122012-07-18T14:26:07.443-04:002012-07-18T14:26:07.443-04:00I would not put frozen chicken in the crockpot, as...I would not put frozen chicken in the crockpot, as it poses a high risk of damaging the crockpot's material, which is why all crockpot instruction manuals must tell you not to do this. If you are wanting to put them in the crockpot, place them in a sink full of cold water, and change the water every 15 minutes to avoid bacteria and spoil. Make sure the water is cold! Within about 30-35 minutes, your chicken will be ready for the crockpot!Bambiinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06077039593924226397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514047866200295403.post-33510169246620772212012-06-20T21:12:24.829-04:002012-06-20T21:12:24.829-04:00I would try it(the frozen chicken).
