Mango Pineapple Salsa

Mango Pineapple Salsa from 101 Cooking For Two
Wonderfully tasty and a great compliment to spicy foods. Just a little slicing and dicing and your there. Great for a party and friends.

I have been on a Mexican spree recently and this has been the main side dish and it is just great. This is another repost since the first post was several years ago and is buried in the first year of the blog with only a few hundred visits. It deserves much much more.

Honey Glazed Grilled Carrots

Honey Glazed Grilled Carrots from 101 Cooking For Two
A tasty grilled veggie to compliment almost any grilled meal. A little char with honey sweetness.

Start with larger whole carrots. Scrub well, peal if you want, brush with oil then grill over medium heat and finally brush with a honey coating and finish grilling. Very yummy.

The Best Steak Marinade

The Best Steak Marinade from 101 Cooking For Two
Step that steak up a few notches with an excellent marinade. Maybe something special for Father's Day.

The inspiration is a very common recipe around the internet on blogs and recipe sites. The original (I think) is known as "Best Steak Marinade in Existence" on Allrecipes.com.   Only a few changes to simplify and some rounding for a smaller (Cooking For Two) amount. Plus I didn't bother with running though a blender.

Banana Nut Cake

The Best Banana Nut Cake from 101 Cooking For Two
Super moist and delicious. The perfect cake for when you need to take a dish or family is coming for dinner. There is something special about a cake when you know what is in it and can pronounce all the ingredients.

This is a family recipe of a family friend (thanks Janet).  I have learned to accept gifts of this type. Many are great in an old fashion way (I can't remember the last time I used a shifter...). If you have a family favorite, email it to me.
