Great taste and crispy skin in a classic grilling. You too can grill a whole chicken and get it done just right.

The Best Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Memphis Style

The Best Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Memphis Style from 101 Cooking For Two
BBQ at its absolute tastiness. This is the best grill pork tenderloin... period.  Moist, tender and the most wonderful spicy taste.

Memphis BBQ Pork Tenderloin is the most common recipe people claim as their all time favorite from my site. It had a special spot on my site for a year and a half as "My One Must Try Recipe". And I called it the best meal I had ever grilled at the time and it probably still is. It really is that good.

Crock Pot Pulled Pork Loin

Crock Pot Pulled Pork Loin from 101 Cooking For Two
Use it for BBQ, use it for Mexican or anywhere you wand a moist and tasty shredded pork. Healthy and low fat "pulled" pork from a pork loin using a slow cooker. An almost no work recipe.

I love pork but generally pork loin is way too lean for shredding but cooking it in a spiced up braising liquid and then adding some back for moisture will get you what you want. I modified my own oven based shredded pork loin recipe. I'm giving you two options.  One for BBQ and one for Mexican.

Pulled Pork on a Gas Grill - Not That Hard

Pulled Pork on a Gas Grill - Not That Hard from 101 Cooking For Two
How to cook pulled pork on a gas grill? Not all of us have smokers. There are a lot of gas grills out there. Shouldn't we have pulled pork too. I say yes. Pulled pork for all... and with a little planning it is not that hard. Just plan enough time.

When I first tied this several years ago and it came out OK but really was somewhat under cooked. I only had 8 hours and it wasn't enough. So lesson learned. I did a test cooking the day before this cooking with ribs and balanced the grill temp to about 250. Having experimented with the ribs, I was ready to go the next morning.

BBQ Shredded Pork Loin in the Oven

Lean, healthy and tasty. A shredded pork from loin for a few or for masses. Cut the recipe down or triple it as needed. Cook ahead or freeze. Some would call this "pulled pork" but I call it shredded saving the term pulled for that grilling masterpiece.

Simple Grilled BBQ Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast

Simple Grilled BBQ Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast from 101 Cooking For Two
Great taste, moist and tender and not much work. Although I love skin on the split chicken breast, it is not diet friendly due to fat. This year has been entirely split chicken breast. I really don't know why... I have always used skinless boneless breasts (SBCB) in the past. I wanted a barbeque on the gas grill.

Grilled BBQ Pork Chops

Grilled BBQ Pork Chops from 101 Cooking For Two
It's "clean out the freezer" week and a great tasting health barbequed pork chop is the result.

Start with two slices of boneless pork loin cut about 1 inch thick. Brine in a brown sugar/salt solution to prevent that "dry" pork thing. Baste with your favorite BBQ sauce for just the right flavor. Cook over high heat for speed but not so much to dry out. And you get moist, tender, tasty and easy - all in a low fat meal.

Ultra Simple Grilled BBQ Bone-in Skin-on (Split) Chicken Breast

Ultra Simple Grilled BBQ Bone-in Skin-on (Split) Chicken Breast from 101 Cooking For Two
Crunchy skin with great BBQ taste while the meat is still moist and tender. So what is the secret of not burning the devil out of the outside of the chicken while getting the center done?  So this is how to cheat. Grilling a whole split chicken breast can be a real bear especially the huge ones .Cut those suckers up, fire up the gas grill (or charcoal if you want) and go for it.

Memphis Grilled Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs

Add the words "Memphis" and "pork" to "grilled" and "ribs". It spells a classic with some tasty heat.

Last year I seemed to be on a "tour" of the south in my cooking. Well it worked well then so I'm going from KC (see my beef brisket post) to Memphis. Actually  a drive I have done several times. But this time just for some great taste.

An update to my most popular post Grilled Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs. While the cooking of  the ribs is straight forward, many people are looking for a recipe that include a rub. Alabama BBQ Chicken with White BBQ sauce

They eat really good in Alabama. This is a Cooks Country recipe but really it is all over the net with only minor variations. I'm just pointing it out to you.

CC used half chickens and I used pre-cut whole chicken for my convenience. It did cook a lot faster, making this in about an hour including soaking some wood chips and preheating the grill.

Alabama White BBQ Sauce

I'm making this a separate post for several reasons. First, it is wonderful. Second, I plan on using it in other applications and lastly it is easier to refer to if it's a separate post.

The picture is from the next post Alabama BBQ Chicken with White BBQ Sauce
which is simply wonderful.

Memphis Dry Rub Ribs

Wife want ribs. Wife gets ribs. But I get to decide how. I wanted to try a different method. Indirect heat, smoked and a dry rub. So off to Google and I needed to find a gas grill method not a smoker. The best I found (and I should have know where) was at Savory Reviews. The method followed what I wanted to do but I wanted to do "real" Memphis dry rub ribs "the real thing". I watch way too much Food Network and had heard of Marlowe's so off to their site for the spicing. See previous post.
